Sound familiar?
You’ve tried. It just hasn’t lasted.
Weight management is one of the most confusing areas of health — not because it’s complicated, but because most of the advice out there isn’t designed to work long-term. Here’s what many people are experiencing when they first reach out:
🔄
Losing weight, then regaining it — often more than you lost
😤
Feeling like you’re “doing everything right” but the scales won’t budge
🍫
Strong cravings that derail even the best intentions
😴
Low energy that makes exercise feel impossible
🤯
Complete confusion about what to eat — every expert says something different
💭
An unhealthy relationship with food — guilt, shame, or obsessive thinking
📉
Blood sugar swings that leave you hungry again an hour after eating
🧠
Knowing what you “should” do — but struggling to make it stick
None of this means you lack willpower. It usually means you’ve been given tools that were never designed for long-term success — and that’s a very different problem to solve.
Let’s clear something up
Why most weight loss advice doesn’t work
The diet industry profits from repeat customers — people who lose weight, regain it, and come back for the next plan. The science of sustainable weight management tells a very different story to “eat less, move more.”
Hunger hormones, blood sugar regulation, sleep quality, stress, and gut health all play significant roles in body weight. Treating weight as purely a maths equation ignores the biology underneath — and that’s where most plans fall apart.
❌ The myth
Eat less, move more. It’s simple maths — calories in versus calories out.
✓ The reality
Hormones, blood sugar, sleep, stress, and gut health all influence how your body stores and burns fat — often more than calories alone.
❌ The myth
You just need more discipline and willpower to stick to a diet.
✓ The reality
Restriction triggers biological hunger responses and stress hormones that make cravings harder to resist — not easier. A sustainable approach works with your biology, not against it.
The approach
A holistic, root-cause approach to weight management
I don’t give out meal plans that prescribe exactly what to eat at every meal. Instead, I work with you to understand why your body is holding onto weight — or why previous attempts haven’t stuck — and build a flexible, personalised approach that actually fits your life.
That might involve looking at blood sugar balance, addressing stress and cortisol, improving sleep quality, supporting gut health, or shifting your relationship with food. Often, it’s a combination of several things working together.
01
Blood sugar balance
Erratic blood sugar is one of the most common drivers of cravings, energy crashes, and weight gain that nobody talks about. We look at what you’re eating, when, and in what combination — and make targeted adjustments that stabilise your energy throughout the day.
02
Food relationship & behaviour
My background in psychology means I look at more than just what’s on your plate. Emotional eating, binge-restrict cycles, and food guilt are patterns we can work through — not with willpower, but with understanding and practical strategies.
03
Hormones & metabolism
Sleep, stress, and thyroid function all affect how your body manages weight. I look at the full metabolic picture to identify what might be getting in the way — and address it directly, not just work around it.
04
A plan that actually fits your life
There’s no point optimising your diet for an ideal life you don’t have. Whether you’re eating out a lot, cooking for a family, training hard, or just trying to keep things simple — the approach adapts to you.
Is this right for you?
